Douglas Wright grew up in the grasslands of New Zealand and has become an icon in his own time. A dancer, a poet, a writer and choreographer extraordinaire with more than 35 works to his name.

This week, he is here in The Hague, with 10 dancers and a production team to show Europe his Rapt dance. His company was crowd-funded to the tune of 25.000 NZ dollars by the NZ public which allowed him to bring this large group of dancers to The Hague. Kathy Voyles met and interviewed Douglas Wright at the Lucent Dance Theatre.
