Your voice in the Netherlands
Co-presenter and Art historian
My involvement with DutchbuzZ started some years ago when I was approached by Lily-Anne to talk about what the mega art theft at the Kunsthal in Rotterdam meant to the art world, and to interpret Dutch traditions such as Sinterklaas.
Initially, I was as a regular contributor to the programme covering the museum exhibitions in The Hague, and commenting om major art events in The Netherlands (sometimes even worldwide). Being one of the native Dutchies on the show, I also cover typical Dutch feasts like Koningsdag and Sinterklaas. As off 2017 I will be co-presenting Dutchbuzz every other week.
As a freelance art historian, I am the owner of Casa dell'Arte, a one woman enterprise. I give art history courses and lectures in both Dutch and English. I also work as a museum guide at the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague and the Mauritshuis, and am a cultural tour guide in Italy. I graduated at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England, and at the University of Leiden and Amsterdam.
