    • Thousands of The Hague residents received a national alert at 11.30 this morning warning them to keep a social distance of 1.5 metres from others. The warning came from central government (Rijksoverheid) who also advised people who feel ill or have a cold to stay at home. ‘Protect yourself and those around you,’ the message urged millions living in the Netherlands.
    • The Hague’s Municipal Health Service (GGD Haaglanden) reported the first coronavirus death in The Hague and surroundings yesterday. 
    • The association for beach businesses in Scheveningen (VVS) discouraged beach visitors after thousands turned up on the city’s beaches on Saturday. The Hague’s municipality also advised people not to visit the city’s beaches and parks.
